Over the past 10 months, Maryland Line Volunteer Fire Company Engine 451 has undergone a complete refurbishment.

Engine 451 is a 2006 Seagrave Maurader that is MLVFC’s primary suppression response unit. While since delivery in 2006 we have continuously maintained and taken care of Engine 451 but at 19 years old it was time.

The Board of Directors and Membership agreed that this unit needs to last us into the future and due to rising apparatus costs and the New Seagrave Engine Tanker expected in Spring of 2026. We all agreed to spend the money needed to extend Engine 451’s life.

Refurbishment Included:
-Sub-Frame Replacement
-New Fuel Tank
-New Side View Mirrors
-Body “Cancer” Repairs
-NEW LED Compartment Lighting
-NEW LED Underbody Ground Lighting
-NEW LED Interior Cab Lighting
-NEW LED Pump Panel Lighting
-NEW LED Running Board Lights
-Pump repairs and Maintenance
-New Company & State Pride “45” Grille Numbers
-New Hose Bed & Crosslay Cover
-New Compartment Door Closures

We would like to Thank the Following:
- Baltimore County Fire Department for the long term use of a Reserve Engine
- Gordons body shop towing service center for the refurbishment of Engine 451
- George’s Fire Apparatus Maintenance and Repairs
- Box Alarm Grilles, LLC for the Maryland Flag “45” grille numbers
- Truck Specialties for the annual DOT and truck motor repair work
- Prenger & Sons Canvas Co. for the Crosslay and Hose Bed Cover

We look forward to the many years that Engine 451 will continue to support the community we serve.
