Station Construction

You may have noticed over the past week that there has been construction going on in front of our station. This is the repair for our underground water cistern.
This tank was originally built back when the station was built in 1943, the tank measures 57,000 gallons, this was placed to make sure their was sufficient water to be used in case their was ever a fire in the town of Maryland Line because ... (Full Story & Photos)

45-28 RV Fire

Today at approximately 1200 units were alerted to the 21000blk of Old York Road for a camper that was on fire in someone's backyard. E451 responded quickly and arrived within 4 minutes to find a fully involved camper. Crew from E451 and Rose Fire Company made a quick attack on the fire and quickly extinguished it and prevented it from getting into the home.

E451 Undergoes Refurbishment

Over the past 10 months, Maryland Line Volunteer Fire Company Engine 451 has undergone a complete refurbishment.
Engine 451 is a 2006 Seagrave Maurader that is MLVFC’s primary suppression response unit. While since delivery in 2006 we have continuously maintained and taken care of Engine 451 but at 19 years old it was time.

Santa Runs

This past weekend units participated in our annual Santa Detail. We took Santa throughout our first due. Saturday we completed the "West" side of our district which consisted of the Middletown Road corridor and the York Road corridor. Sunday we completed the "East" side of our district which consisted of the Old York Road corridor.

45-32 Detached Garage Fire
EMS Lieutenant Colin Webster, December 22
On Sunday just before noon, units from Maryland Line and surrounding departments were dispatched to the 2400 block of Harris Mill Road for a reported garage on fire.
York County Chief 54 arrived on location to find a fully involved 25x25 detached garage on fire. E451 (operating RE68) arrived shortly after and started to make a quick knock on it.
Thankfully no one was injured.
