Fire Box 45-8, 19529 Old York Rd

Around 1:42Pm on Sunday March 15, Maryland Line was alerted for a Structure Fire at 19529 Old York Road. Harford County Chief 10-1 was first to arrive followed by E-451 and M-60 and advised dispatch of a fully involved commercial structure. The commercial structure was owned by Browns Junkyard. Shortly after E-451 began initial attack, other units began arriving. Chief 45 established command and requested a tanker strike team along with a second alarm assignment. Command also requested FU-14 respond with HM-114 due to the type of Business. Fire was knocked around 17:00 hours. Units were on scene with extensive clean up for about 3 hours, E-451 Cleared the incident and placed the box in service at 19:45 hours. A total of 45 units were dispatched for this fire.

Building fire in York County box 58-04, 70 East High Street

At 1239 hours, Maryland Line VFC was alerted for a Building fire in York County on East High Street. Engine 451 quickly responded with 4. York Co. Engine 58-2 arrived to find a large commercial style building nothing showing side Alpha and Delta. E 58-2 tagged a hydrant at East High Street and Constitution Ave. and laid a supply line to the building. E 451 arrived and staged at the hydrant, the crew off E 451 quickly hooked up the hydrant as a precaution, the crew then was told to stage with engine until further notice, as crews from station 58 did some further investigation, to find an HVAC system on the roof malfunction which sparked a small fire. Crews then started to clean up and units cleared at 1318 hours.

Tanker Strike Team at the scene of a Working Dwelling Fire Harford County Box 13-07, 2717 FallsBrooke Manor Drive

On Sunday morning February 1st at 12:55am, Maryland Line VFC was alerted for a tanker as part of the tanker task force at the scene of a working dwelling fire in Fallston box 13-07. Tanker 454 responded shortly after the alert. Upon arrival Tanker 454 was told to dump their water and assist other tankers with shuttling water. Tanker 454 hauled 26,000 gallons of water and was on the scene for 6 hours. Tanker 454 was one of many Baltimore County units that assisted with the tanker shuttle. Tanker 454 cleared at 6:35am.

Dwelling fire in Harford County box 7-13, 3220 Dry Branch RD

On January 15 at 8:42am, Maryland Line VFC was called to respond to a dwelling fire in Harford County. Engine 451 was en-route when Harford County Deputy Chief 7 advised Harford County dispatch of smoke showing from the right side of the structure. At that time, Tanker truck 454 called responding to the incident. Before Engine 451 arrived, Harford County Chief 7 advised working chimney fire with extension to the attic space. Engine 451 arrived and laid a supply line from the street up the drive way and assisted Harford County E-711 with a line through the front door. They also threw ladders on the front side of the chimney along with the right side. The fire was knocked within minutes of the initial attack. E-451’s crew then cut a vent into the roof of the attic to allow the smoke to clear out. E-451 was on scene for 1 hour assisting with over-haul and cleared at 9:59am
