Dwelling Fire in Hereford First Due


On Thursday February 28,2008 The Maryland Line Volunteers were alerted for the report of a Dwelling Fire at the intersection of Falls Road and Old Barn Road. E60 arrived first with a fully involved structure, tactics were soon changed to exterior operations to prevent firefighter injuries. York County Truck 58 used their ladder pipe to douse the flames from above as well as multiple master stream devices. Crews were on scene well into the afternoon with cleanup.

Dwelling Fire at the Maryland Line Church


On Saturday February 23,2008 The Maryland Line Volunteers were alerted for the report of a Church Fire. E452 arrived first with black smoke showing from the chimmney, the crew from E452 made a quick knock on the fire, and saved the structure. Units from three counties helped on this fire. Units were on scene for four hours with cleanup.

Dwelling Fire on Freeland Road


On Monday January 21,2008 The Maryland Line Volunteers were alerted for the report of a Dwelling Fire. While enroute E451 advised smoke showing from three miles out. E451 arrived first with fire showing from the garage, the crew from E451 made a quick knock on the fire. Units from three counties helped on this fire. Units were on scene for four hours with cleanup.

Vehicle Accident Reported With Entrapmenet


On Sunday January 20,2008 The Maryland Line Volunteers were alerted for the report of an Auto Accident with entrapment on York Road in front of the Station. Upon arrival E451 advised two vehicles involved and confirmed rescue, Captain Fogle on E451 assumed command. The crews from Engine 451, Tower 58 and Heavy Rescue 61 worked quickly to extricate the patient. The crews were on scene for an hour with clean up.

Vehicle Accident Reported With Entrapmenet


On Saturday January 19,2008 The Maryland Line Volunteers were alerted for the report of an Auto Accident with entrapment on York Road in front of the PNC Bank. Upon arrival E451 advised three vehicles involved but no rescue, and requested a Medivac. The Medivac was later cancelled by Medic 60. The crews were on scene for an hour to help the police crash team.

Brush Fire On I83


On Wednesday January 2,2008 The Maryland Line Volunteers were alerted for the report of a Brush fire on I83 Northbound between York Road And Old York Road. Upon arrival E452 Confirmed at least 3/4 of an acre fully involved, and requested a tanker and a second engine, this brought E451 and T454. Crews made a quick knock on the fire, and crews were on scene for about a half an hour with cleanup.

Vehicle Accident With Wires Down On Middletown Road


On Wednesday December 12,2007 The Maryland Line Volunteers were alerted for the report of an auto accident with wires down across from the Eklo Inn on Middletown Road. Upon arrival E451 found that a single vehicle had struck a telephone pole, causing the wires to come down. E451 and U457 remained on scene for approximately 45 minutes with traffic control and cleanup. The driver was transported to a nearby trauma center for facial injuries.

Vehicle Accident With Medivac on I83


On Wednesday September 26, 2007 The Maryland Line Volunteers were alerted for the report of auto accident with entrapment on Southbound I83 between Old York Rd and York Rd. Engine 451 was first on scene and advised no entrapment, Command was then established by Chief Jason Rosier. A medivac and a second IV unit were then requested.The patient had been ejected from the vehicle and the vehicle had come to rest on top of the patient, a witness pulled the patient to safety. Engine 452 handled the landing site for the medivac.

Vehicle Accident With Entrapment At The Park And Ride


On Saturday September 22, 2007 The Maryland Line Volunteers were alerted for the report of auto accident on Old York Road at the park and ride. Brush 453 was first on scene and advised that a tractor trailer had struck a car and the driver of the car was trapped and requested the rescue box, Command was then established by Chief Jason Rosier. Command advised dispatch a total of one patient a priority 3. The patient was quickly extricated with the Tool on Engine 452. Crews were on scene for 1 hour with clean up.

Vehicle Accident With Entrapment


On Monday September 3, 2007 The Maryland Line Volunteers were alerted for the report of auto accident with entrapment on Old York Road between Bond Rd and Gibson Rd. Engine 451 was first on scene and advised one patient trapped, Command was then established by Chief Jason Rosier. Command advised dispatch a total of five patients two priority 1’s, and three priority 3’s. A medivac and a second and third medic unit were then requested.The patient was quickly extricated with the Holmatro Tools on Engine 451. Engine 452 handled the landing site for the medivac. A sixth patient was taken to the hospital for evaluation, after at first refusing treatment. Crews were on scene for two hours with clean up.

Mutual Aid on Working Fire in York County


On Thursday August 23, 2007 at aproxamately 2000 hours The Maryland Line Volunteers were alerted for a Working fire assignment at the Smith Brothers Garage in Shrewsbury, Pa. Upon arrival the crew of Engine 451 was immediately put to work pulling ceilings and searching for fire extention. While the crews were working Engine 451 laid a supply line to provide an additional water source. After assisting with cleanup and overhaul Engine 451 was placed in service by Command 61(Myers). Engine 452 was relocated to Shrewsbury fire station.

Vehicle Accident 45-2 Box


On Saturday August 18, 2007 at 1710 hours The Maryland Line Volunteers were alerted for an auto accident with unknown injuries at the intersection of Cotter Road and Beckleysville Road. While responding Engine 451 recieved information that the police were on location advising one patient with leg pains. Medic 60 was dispatched. Upon arrival Engine 451 assisted the medic and provided clean up for fluids on the ground. Units were on scene for 20 minutes with clean up.

Vehicle Accident With Ejection


On Saturday July 14, 2007 The Maryland Line Volunteers were alerted for the report of auto accident with ejection on south bound I-83 between Harris Mill Rd and Old York Rd. After receiving further information Engine 451 requested a second medic unit and Maryland State Police Medivac. Engines 451 was first on scene advised the incident was located just south of the Old York Rd on ramp, with multiple patients ejected, command was then established by Lieutenant Kyle Brane. Command advised dispatch a total of six patients two priority 1’s, one priority 2, and three priority 3’s. A second medivac and a third medic unit was then requested. Engine 452 handled the landing site for both medivacs. Crews were on scene for two hours with clean up.

Rescue Box 45-80


On Tuesday July 3, 2007 at 20:40hrs, The Maryland Line Volunteers were dispatched for the report of an auto accident with roll over on north bound I-83 between York Rd and Old York Rd. The assignment was quickly upgraded to a rescue. Engine 451 led by Captain Jack Carter was first on scene and advised they had a vehicle that had rolled several times and now is down the embankment with 1 person trapped. Engine 451's crew assisted by York county rescue 61 worked quickly to extricate the patient. Engine 441 handled the landing site for Maryland State Police Trooper 1. Engine 451 and York county rescue 61 were on scene for 3 hours for lighting.

Rescue Box 45-24

     On Friday June 29th, 2007 at 18:20 Hrs the Maryland Line Volunteer Fire Company responded to a vehicle accident with roll over in the area of Keeney Mill Rd and Oakland Rd. York Co. Engine 58-1 Was first on scene and advised they had a single vehicle accident with the vehicle on its roof live power lines across the vehicle and the patient trapped by his seat belt. Upon Engine 451's arrival the full rescue assignment was requested by acting Lieutenant Matthew Underwood. Once Baltimore Gas and Electric arrived and shut power down, Engine 451, York Co. Engine 58-1 and Truck 58 began extrication. Maryland State Police trooper 1 air lifted one Priority 1 patient to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Landing site was handled by E-452.
