Maryland Line Goes GREEN

Story By: Brandin Pearce

Maryland Line goes green for the environment. Here at Maryland Line we have chosen to help the environment and help stop polution. We have a number of different ways of going green. We collect aluminum cans and we RECYCLE, recycling is good for the environment and plus we get some money out of it when we take the cans to the recycling center. The cans are collected in a wooden bin with chicken wire around it, anyone can drop off aluminum products here like soda cans. Please no aluminum siding or other big items. If you have aluminum soup cans please leave them in a bag out side of the bin so we don’t have to go into the bin to get them.

Another way we are going green is by recycling paper and other paper products, we have two big paper bins out side of our station next to the can collecting bin that are green. You may put the following things in this bin:
• Paper
• Catalogs
• Magazines
• (ext..)

Please don’t put CARDBOARD, or PHONE BOOKS in the paper bin, the recycling center does not take cardboard.
